SA was engaged to complete the redesign on this existing building. The original building was dated with a brick façade and dark internal rooms which did not capture the northern aspect over Lake Conjola. The brief from the client was to recreate the Lake Shack and design a holiday escape with an outlook north overlooking Lake Conjola. The project needed to improve functionality and flow from the front door to the rear of the property.

A simple, clean gable roof form with soft and light materials captures optimum North sunlight and creates a comfortable and luxurious living space. Windows are protected from over exposure with overhangs that share a colour palette with the weatherboard walls commonly found in heritage Australian cottages.
